Parents Continue Support For LCHS Coach
| Only a fraction of the ninety or so supporters of
LCHS basketball coach, Tony Williams, who
met with Lenoir City
Director Of Schools last week were able to attend the 11:00 am
Lenoir City Board Of Education meeting Thursday. The parents continue to
strongly support the re-hiring of Coach Williams. This was the first
time the parents have had an opportunity to address the board.
Supporters have been on a campaign to convince director Wayne Miller and
the board that Coach Williams is far more than just a coach to their
boys, but also a mentor and role model that they are proud to have
coaching and teaching their children. Director Miller will be making his recommendation to the board on April 12th as to which teachers will be retained for the next school year. Word had gotten around that Williams was not going to be recommended for re-hire for the 07-08 school year. Video Clips |
