Pair of women
face drug charges
Two women were arrested last
week for allegedly selling methamphetamine after police responded to
the call of a suspicious person in the 200 block of 6th Avenue, in
Lenoir City.
Dispatched to the location, Lenoir City Police Officer Tyrel Lorenz spotted two females in a vehicle and smelled a scent of burnt marijuana coming from the car, according to the arrest report.
Identifying the driver as Autumn Chassity Julian, 22, Lenoir
City, and the passenger as Sara Marie Moore, 26, homeless,
Lorenz learned through dispatch that Julian had an active
warrant out of Lenoir City, according to the report.
A search of Julian uncovered a straw and a small bag in her
possession. During a search of the vehicle, police found a bag
containing a loaded pellet gun in the center console and a bag
with about 1 gram of crystal methamphetamine, two digital
scales, six syringes, multiple clear bags and tweezers.
"Based on my training and experience it is believed that Ms.
Moore and Ms. Julian are selling narcotics," Lorenz wrote.
Julian was charged with manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a
Schedule II substance and violation of probation and held on
$24,000 bond.
Moore was charged with manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a
Schedule II substance and held on $20,000 bond.
Dec. 10
James Anthony Cline, 54, Knoxville, was charged with failure
to appear-general sessions and released on $2,000 bond.
Derek Lee Coleman, 28, White Pine, was charged with
forgery/fraudulent use of a credit/debit card and released on
$7,000 bond.
Kristen O'Neal Tatum, 50, Lenoir City, was charged with
driving under the influence and violation of implied consent and
released on $2,000 bond.
Steven Dewayne Walton, 35, Newport, was charged with failure
to appear on violation of probation and held on $4,000 bond.
Tanner Earl Wilkerson, 22, Lenoir City, was charged with
public intoxication and burglary of a motor vehicle and released
on $6,000 bond.
Robert Andrew Yelverton, 26, Lenoir City, was charged with
driving on a revoked/suspended license, evading-misdemeanor and
two counts of failure to appear and released on $8,000 bond.
Dec. 11
Robert John Duffy, 48, Lenoir City, was charged with domestic
assault-misdemeanor and released on $1,000 bond. Dispatched to a
call of a domestic dispute at the WindRiver gatehouse, Loudon
County Sheriff's Office Deputy Jimmy Yoakum spoke with a women,
who said she and Duffy began arguing in his car, according to
the arrest report. The woman told police that Duffy slammed on
the brakes of the car, which caused her to hit her head and
injure her neck. The woman said she got out of the vehicle when
Duffy "grabbed her by her throat and began squeezing very hard,"
Yoakum wrote, noting that Duffy pushed her to the floor in the
laundry room, and when she attempted to leave the residence, the
man threw an object at her car, according to the report. Duffy
told deputies that the woman had "continually struck him and
would not calm down," adding that the woman hit him with a belt.
Duffy also told deputies that he had to push her down to get the
woman to stop striking him. The woman's mother told officers
that she heard a loud sound and saw the woman lying on the
floor. Yoakum said he saw two red marks on the woman's neck and
discoloration at the front of her neck, according to the report.
The officer found a small red area on Duffy's left arm. Duffy
was determined to be the primary aggressor.
Olivia Ann Friedman, 33, Anderson, was charged with resisting
arrest and held on $3,000 bond.
Christy Ann Whisenhunt, 34, Loudon, was charged with driving
on a revoked/suspended license and released on $2,000 bond.
Dec. 12
Willie Arron Click, 29, Knoxville, was charged with habitual
motor offender and held on $10,000 bond.
Rex-Allen Hawkins, 32, Greenback, was charged with violation
of community corrections and held without bond.
Taylor Wayne Hill, 19, Lenoir City, was charged with underage
driving while intoxicated and open container and released on
$1,500 bond.
Amanda Sue Howard, 36, Knoxville, was charged with disorderly
conduct and released on $2,000 bond.
Jose Antonio Marroquin-Diaz, 45, Lenoir City, was charged with
domestic assault-misdemeanor and public intoxication and
released on $2,500 bond. Responding to a domestic call in the
7800 block of Highway 11 West, LCSO Deputy J.C. Schultz learned
through dispatch that a man was beating on the door of an
apartment and trying to enter the residence, according to the
arrest report. Schultz arrived on the scene to find Marroquin-Diaz
walking around in the parking lot. The man had an odor of
alcohol and had slurred speech, according to the report. Schultz
said Marroquin-Diaz refused to supply his identification as he
sat on the porch of his apartment. A woman at the residence told
deputies that the man "had been drinking, then beat holes in the
door, and hit her with a chair while he pushed her down,"
Schultz wrote. "There were holes in the door of the apartment
and marks on (the girlfriend's) leg." Schultz said the apartment
showed signs that a struggle had taken place.
Eric Jay Stevens, 42, Knoxville, was charged with driving on a
revoked/suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia
and held on $4,000 bond. Stopping a vehicle for a bad headlight,
LCSO Cpl. Chris Hutchens spoke with Stevens, who said something
was wrong with his car, according to the arrest report. Stevens
told deputies that he did not have a license. A check through
the National Crime Information Center revealed that Stevens'
driver's license was revoked for driving under the influence. "I
asked Stevens if there was anything illegal in the vehicle to
which he stated there was a large amount of needles (in the car)
and that he uses heroin," Hutchens wrote. Police found "at
least" 15 "opened and used needles," two straws and a tourniquet
in the vehicle.
Scott Allen Williamson, 49, Sevierville, was charged with
violation of probation and held on $2,000 bond.
Justin Paul Wright, 31, Loudon, was charged with driving on a
revoked/suspended license and released on $1,000 bond.
Roberto Zavala-Garcia, 37, Sweetwater, was charged with
driving on a revoked/suspended license and ignition interlock
devices and released on $4,000 bond.
Dec. 13
Perry Gordon Billingsley, 56, Lenoir City, was charged with
violation of probation and held on $1,000 bond.
Kristina Leanna Chastain, 19, Lenoir City, was charged with
driving on a revoked/suspended license, driving under the
influence and violation of implied consent and released on
$2,500 bond.
Michael James Chastain, 18, Lenoir City, was charged with
underage consumption and released on $1,000 bond.
John Devin Collins, 25, Knoxville, was charged with driving
under the influence and held without bond.
Richard Eubanks, 36, Knoxville, was charged with violation of
probation on burglary and held without bond.
Fredrick David Hall, 43, Lenoir City, was charged with driving
on a revoked/suspended license and released on $1,000 bond.
Lauren MacKenzie Howard, 18, Lenoir City, was charged with
driving under the influence by consent and released on $1,000
bond.
John Alexander Koty, 22, Greenback, was charged with simple
possession and released on $1,000 bond.
Randy Lee McCallie, 44, Philadelphia, was charged with
possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession/casual
exchange and driving on a revoked/suspended license and released
on $6,000 bond. Noticing a red van traveling along North
Trigonia Road with an invalid registration and a bad brake
light, LCSO Deputy Cody Fritts checked the driver, McCallie,
through dispatch and learned that the man was driving on a
revoked license. During a search of McCallie, police found a red
cut straw with white residue in his front pocket, and in the
vehicle police located a plastic bag of marijuana in the middle
console, according to the arrest report.
Sherry Lynn McCallum, 50, Loudon, was charged with driving
under the influence and speeding 21 mph over the limit and
released on $2,000 bond.
Grace Evelyn Moody, 22, Lenoir City, was charged with driving
under the influence and cite-in and released on $1,500 bond.
Julian Lopez Navarrette, 18, Loudon, was charged with theft of
property and aggravated burglary and released on $5,000 bond.
Earl Leland Perkey, 34, Soddy-Daisy, was charged with failure
to appear-general sessions and released without bond.
Caroline Bridgett Strange, 46, Lenoir City, was charged with
possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of simple
possession/casual exchange and released on $3,000 bond.
Dec. 14
Jonathon Jurovschi, 26, Buford, Ga., was charged with failure
to appear-general sessions and held without bond.
David Tommy Smith, 32, Maynardville, was charged with driving
on a revoked/suspended license and held on $2,000 bond.
Maryville man charged with DUI, drugs A Maryville man was taken into custody after police were dispatched to a possible wreck along East Coast Tellico Parkway. Arriving to the scene, Loudon County Sheriff's Office Deputy J.C. Schultz saw a silver Chevrolet truck sitting across the curb, and the vehicle's driver was later identified as Randel Todd Walker, 46, Maryville, according to the arrest report.
Police found a large pool of liquid on the driver's side
of the car, which Walker said was urine. Walker told police
he had drank four beers. He displayed signs of intoxication
and performed poorly on field sobriety tests, Schultz wrote.
During a search of the truck, deputies found a black tin
that contained marijuana and a red cigarette pack containing
marijuana. The marijuana weighed 4 grams, according to the
report. A silver pipe with residue was found in the console.
Walker told deputies that the drugs and paraphernalia
belonged to him, according to the report.
He was charged with driving under the influence, possession
of drug paraphernalia and simple possession/casual exchange
and released on $7,000 bond.
Dec. 14
Amber Marie Harrison, 31, Harriman, was charged with
violation of probation and held on $2,000 bond.
Ashley Kay Morrell, 20, Johnson City, was charged with
failure to appear-general sessions and released on $2,000
bond.
Chantell Deniene Pelfrey, 38, Lenoir City, was charged
with violation of probation and released on $1,000 bond.
Dec. 15
Jacob Lee Baker, 20, Loudon, was charged with three counts
of violation of probation and held on $1,000 bond.
Stephen Alexander Maher, 33, Powell, was charged with
failure to appear-general sessions and held on $4,000 bond.
Timothy Allen Poe, 24, Loudon, was charged with failure to
appear-general sessions and violation of probation and held
without bond.
Steven Ray Self, 39, Knoxville, was charged with theft
under $500 and theft of property and held on $4,000 bond.
Daniel Lee Tallent, 36, Madisonville, was charged with
contempt of court and released on $150 bond.
William Robert Taylor, 42, Loudon, was charged with public
intoxication and released without bond.
William Patrick Weatherly, 65, Lenoir City, was charged
with driving under the influence and released on $1,000
bond. Responding to a wreck along Hickory Creek Road,
Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Eric Miller found that a
red Ford F-150 ran off the left side of the road and hit a
tree after the driver, Weatherly, failed to navigate the
turn, according to the arrest report. Miller wrote that
multiple Bud Light containers were found at the scene, and
Weatherly displayed signs of intoxication. A witness told
the trooper that he had seen Weatherly before the wreck and
that the man was extremely intoxicated, according to the
report. Weatherly was taken to the University of Tennessee
Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
Gregory Gilbert White, 39, Lenoir City, was charged with
fugitive from justice and released without bond. Responding
to a call of two suspicious people in the 500 block of U.S.
Highway 321, police learned that White had a warrant out of
Ohio.
Earl Victor Williams, 45, Loudon, was charged with theft
under $500 out of Knox County and released without bond.
Fredi Zavala, 19, Lenoir City, was charged with misuse of
911 emergency system and released on $1,000 bond. Dispatched
to a call of a breaking and entering in progress in the 400
block of 5th Avenue, Lenoir City Police Officer Tyrel Lorenz
wrote in the arrest report that law enforcement had been
called to the same address multiple times. This was the
third time officers were dispatched to the address today for
calls in this nature that all turned out to be false calls,
Lorenz wrote. Officers warned the people at the residence
previously not to call unless there was a real emergency.
Lorenz spoke with Zavala, along with two other individuals
at the residence, who continued to state
that people were
in the house and (trying) to also break into the home,
according to the report. A woman told police that she
directed Zavala to call the police so she would not go to
jail.
Dec. 16
Dakota Austin Capooth, 19, Lenoir City, was charged with
capias-theft and released on $3,000 bond.
Henry Earl Cutshaw, 37, Lenoir City, was charged with
burglary-theft of property and released on $6,000 bond.
April Dawn Denton, 42, Lenoir City, was charged with theft
of property and violation of probation and held on $8,500
bond.
Christopher Neil Gracie, 29, Loudon, was charged with
violation of probation and held without bond.
Shane Alan Price, 26, Greenback, was charged with failure
to appear-general sessions and held on $2,000 bond.
Jodi Lynn Thigpen, 46, Lenoir City, was charged with
public intoxication and released on $1,000 bond.
Lee Thomas Van Dyne, 24, Knoxville, was charged with
driving under the influence and released on $2,000 bond.
Dec. 17
Colby Ryan Coco, 27, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., was charged
with criminal impersonation and held without bond.
Ernest Alvin Hendrickson, 68, Lenoir City, was charged
with sexual battery by an authority figure and released on
$6,000 bond.
Dandy Mejia, 20, Loudon, was charged with driving without
a valid driver's license and held without bond.
Brian Wayne Mendenhall, 28, Loudon, was charged with
simple possession/casual exchange and possession of drug
paraphernalia and held without bond.
Angel Dawn Micheau, 29, Lenoir City, was charged with two
counts of attachment-juvenile court and held on $300 bond.
Chinyan Ye, 50, Loudon, was charged with tax evasion and
released on $1,000 bond.
