November Update

Yet another candidate has picked up a qualifying petition for a seat on the Loudon city council. Rene' Schultz has picked up a petition. Incumbent Johnny James has also qualified to seek re-election.

That brings the total number of candidates for council to 11. However, to date, only 6 candidates have actually returned their petitions to qualify, Only 2 of those are incumbents.

Meanwhile in Lenoir City where higher and higher taxes are on tap, only 6 candidates have picked petitions with 5 having actually qualified, three incumbents and two challengers.

Deadline to qualify, August 16th, noon.
