The Tennessee Department of Transportation will host a public meeting on August 12, 2014 to gather public input on the proposed SR-73 (US 321) / SR-2 (US 11) signature intersection in Lenoir City, Loudon County. The meeting will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the following location:

Lenoir City Elementary School 203 Kelley Lane Lenoir City, Tennessee 37771

The purpose of this project is to improve the operational characteristics of the existing intersection by adding right turn only lanes, widening turning lane widths, providing double left turn lanes and two through lanes on all intersection approaches, controlling access in the intersection area, upgrading lighting and signalization, and providing grade and drainage improvements. Gateway signage and landscaping will be added to provide an aesthetic entrance to Lenoir City.

The meeting is being held to provide the public an opportunity to provide comments regarding this proposed intersection improvement project. Representatives of TDOT will be available to provide information on various aspects of this proposed project. Anyone with questions regarding the meeting should contact:
