At Monday's commission meeting, the commission voted not to give the Loudon County Board Of Education another half million dollars for more doublewides and approved another six month contract to house Blount County's animals.

The commission voted 7-2 not to give the BOE their requested money to buy another 10 trailers for various locations. The commission raised a number of concerns pertaining the the BOE's funding.

The commission then voted 8-1 to continue the agreement with Blount County to house their animals. This contract is to expire at the end of the year when it is expected it will be extended again. Blount County expects to have a shelter ready within three years.
