No Dems?

According to Loudon County Democrat party Chair person, Dana Zehner, no democrat candidates were nominated to seek office at Saturday's caucus. The Loudon dems had decided to hold a caucus to nominate any candidates rather than participate in the March primary election.

With no democrats running, that means that the outcome of the March primary will determine the out come of the election unless a candidate decides to run as an independent.

If no other candidates file between now and the 10th, candidate for General Sessions Judge Division 2, Hank Sledge, will be running unopposed for that position. It carries an eight year term.

In the other local election, incumbent Loudon County Property Assessor, Mike Campbell is being challenged by Larry Brown.

Candidates have till noon Thursday, 12/10, to file their nominating petition.
