Never Again
Lamar Alexander
Bob Corker
I'm sad to say it, but I'm very
disappointed in both our republican senators, Lamar Alexander and
Bob Corker.
I sat elbow to elbow with Bob Corker at the Loudon County Republican Women's bean dinner in Glendale back in 2006 when he was running for office. He convinced me he was a conservative. I've met and listened to Lamar Alexander several times when he was running for the office and after he won the office. He convinced me he was a conservative. Obviously, I was wrong on both accounts. I don't know if both lied about their positions or if they fell to the same devil that seems to grab nearly every elected official that goes to Washington. In the muslim world, we here of young muslim men being radicalized. I'm afraid what happens to seemingly good meaning republicans when they get to Washington is they become liberalized. Both these men have made bad votes over
and over that, in my opinion, do not represent the views that I
hold. Here's just a couple of recent ones.
Both Tennessee Senators, Lamar Alexander
and Bob Corker voted to confirm Todd M. Hughes as first openly gay
federal appeals judge. Both were right in there supporting the
democrats immigration bill.
But the final straw for me was that both, just last week, essentially voted to fund Obamacare. Doesn't matter how they try to spin it, they voted for it. They even bad mouthed other republicans who tried to stop the Obamacare train wreck. I'm sorry but I don't vote for republicans to vote and act like democrats. I'm sure it doesn't matter to them now, but I'll never punch a button for either one of them again. |
