Names of victims in Lenoir City fatal crash released

 

(WBIR) A 43-year-old Indiana man died Wednesday night in a crash on U.S. Highway 321 near Fort Loudoun Dam in Lenoir City, according to authorities.

Lenoir City police released the names Thursday afternoon of those involved in the two-vehicle crash.

Killed was Michael S. Walton of Fort Wayne, Ind. His wife, Stephanie S. Walton, 44, suffered injuries and was treated at an area hospital. Her condition was unavailable.

The crash occurred about 6:30 p.m. when the Waltons, traveling in a northbound Ford Fusion collided with a southbound Ford F-150 pickup driven by Brian A. Leach, 21.

Leach, whose hometown was not identified, suffered no injuries for which he needed hospitalization.

Authorities are still investigating the crash.
