PUD Moratorium Passes
| At Monday's commission meeting, commissioners pass a
six month moratorium on Planned Unit Developments, PUD, overlays. the
vote was 7-3 with Julia Hurley, Matthew Tinker and Kelly Brewster voting
against the moratorium. Loudon County is on the verge of over development and commissioners want time to review zoning policies to be sure we protect and preserve our urban areas. The moratorium on PUD's will allow time for a review. The Planning and Zoning Study Committee will be holding the first of many meetings to discuss and take input from any and all those interested. The meeting will be on October 13th at 5:00 pm at the Annex. Everyone is invited or encouraged to provide input to their commissioners. |
