LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WATE) - A Murfreesboro man was killed early Thursday morning when his tractor trailer went off the side of Interstate 40 in Loudon County and struck numerous trees.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says the truck driven by Daniel Hinson, 32, was going eastbound near mile marker 365 just after 2 a.m. when it went off the right side of the road, hit a guardrail and then hit several trees before coming to a rest.

Hinson was killed in the crash. No other vehicles were involved. Troopers say he was wearing a seat belt and neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the crash.
