It's hard to believe, but we're about to enter the next election cycle. 2024 will have three elections. March presidential primary and local elections, August state primary and local elections and the November presidential election and local elections.

Petitions for the March 2024 county elections will be available October 15th.

State of Tennessee Presidential Preference Primary

Loudon County Republican and Democratic Primary Election

March 5 (Tuesday), 2024

Federal Election for:

Presidential Candidates and Delegates at Large and Second Congressional District (committed and uncommitted)

• The first day a nominating petition for non-nationally recognized Presidential party candidates for the Presidential Preference Primary may be issued was Wednesday, September 6, 2023.  The qualifying deadline will be Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 12:00 NOON to qualify for the March Presidential Preference Primary Election. Political party candidates nominated by petition must file with the State Election Commission on this day no later than 12:00 NOON prevailing time.
• The withdrawal deadline for non-nationally recognized candidates will be Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 12:00 Noon prevailing time.
• The first day a nominating petition for delegate-candidates for the Presidential Preference Primary may be issued was Friday, September 15, 2023. The qualifying deadline will be Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 12:00 NOON for the March Presidential Preference Primary Election. Delegate candidates must file their nominating petitions with the State Election Commission on this day no later than 12:00 NOON prevailing time.
• The withdrawal deadline for delegate candidates will be Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 12:00 NOON.
