Man shot at Loudon County gun show

LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Officials with the Loudon County Sheriff's Office told Local 8 News that a man was accidentally shot at a gun show at the National Guard Armory in Loudon County on Saturday.

Deputies responded to a call of the reported shooting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

According to officials, a vendor was attempting to clear a 12 gauge shotgun when it discharged. One pellet hit the ground and ricocheted off and struck another vendor in the neck.

Officials said Saturday morning the man was transported to a local hospital with injuries they did not believe were life threatening.
