Man jailed after hitting woman, resisting arrest
 
A Sweetwater man is being held at Loudon County Jail with a dog bite to the arm after allegedly hitting a woman, taking items from a residence and resisting arrest earlier this week.

Responding to a call of an unwanted guest Wednesday at a Blue Springs Road residence, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Craig Brewer talked with a woman, who said that John Eric Greene, 33, had allegedly punched her three times in the face through the plastic on the front door of the residence. Brewer also said that Greene allegedly took from the residence a bottle of liquor, a case of beer and a .22-caliber revolver before fleeing into the nearby woods.

“Sgt. Michael Watkins with his K-9 partner then tracked Mr. John Greene into the woods. On locating him Sgt. Watkins gave Mr. John Greene commands to show his hands and to come out to him,” Brewer said. “On him putting up his hands and approaching Sgt. Watkins, and would not stop, he then went down at the K-9 in an aggressive manner and the dog bit him on the right forearm.”
 
Greene was charged with domestic assault, theft of property and resisting arrest and held on $7,500 bond.
 
Intoxicated man cuts mattress
 
Dispatched to a Browder Hollow Road residence Tuesday in reference to a 911 hangup call, Lenoir City Police Sgt. Jeremy Dishner wrote in his report that he talked with a woman, who said that Frank Douglas Staten, 46, of Lenoir City, had allegedly been drinking and had gotten upset when a girl attempted to move a mattress box spring out of the kitchen for a friend to sleep on.
 
“Mr. Staten, who was intoxicated, got upset and pulled out his pocket knife and slashed the bottom of the box spring, causing an approximately 12-14 inch cut to it,” Dishner said.
 
Staten was charged with domestic assault and released on $1,000 bond.
 
March 9
  • Wayne Edgar McMillian, 65, Lenoir City, was charged with assault and released on $3,000 bond. LCPD Det. Jack Fine wrote in his report that McMillian allegedly hit a woman in the back with a bottle earlier this month then grabbed her around the neck with both hands and choked her, leaving bruises and a cut on her chin. “She states that when he let her go he hit her across the face and told her if she called the police he would kill her,” Fine said.
     
  • Robert Eugene Perkins, 48, Loudon, was charged with violation of probation and held on $7,500 bond. Stopping a vehicle for driving without rear lights, LCPD Officer Blake Garland wrote in his report that Perkins had an active warrant for his arrest for violation of probation.
March 10
  • Kathy Lou Day, 59, Powell, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license-second offense and released on $2,000 bond. LCSO Cpl. Rondel M. Branam wrote in his report that Day allegedly had a revoked license for driving under the influence out of Blount County with one prior conviction.
     
  • Ashley Kate Greenwood, 26, Madisonville, was charged with contempt of court and held on $1,088 bond.
     
  • Chrystal Ellen Kerley, 34, Lenoir City, was charged with violation of probation and held without bond.
     
  • Mark Allen Lara, 27, Rockford, was charged with a Blount County warrant and released on $750 bond.
     
  • Cleo Marvin Miller, 74, LaFollette, was charged with a Campbell County warrant and released on $2,000 bond.
     
  • Freda Jo Morton, 52, Philadelphia, was charged with failure to make a report and tampering with government records and released on $4,000 bond.
     
  • Esther Lee Riggs, 48, Caryville, was charged with violation of probation and released on $2,000 bond.
     
  • Kristen Nicole Roark, 30, Lenoir City, was charged with driving on a revoked license and released on $2,000 bond. Responding to the area of Highway 321 and 11 in reference to a wreck, LCPD Officer Jason Felts wrote in his report that one of the drivers involved, Roark, allegedly had a revoked license for driving under the influence.
     
  • Anita Lucinda Wilmoth, 55, Lenoir City, was charged with failure to report wounds/injuries and tampering with government records and released on $4,000 bond.
March 11
  • Kimberly Sue Colvin, 43, Lenoir City, was charged with theft under $500 and held without bond. LCPD Officer Brandon Gentry wrote in his report that Colvin was allegedly attempting to leave a Lenoir City retail store without paying for items, including a George Foreman grill and an Easter basket. “She put the items in a buggy and walked through an empty register lane and passed the grocery doors,” the warrant said.
     
  • Daniel Gary Duggan, 40, Lenoir City, was charged with theft of property under $500 and released without bond. LCPD Officer Brandon Gentry wrote in his report that Duggan was allegedly attempting to leave a Lenoir City retail store with multiple gun accessories without paying for the merchandise.
     
  • Dylan Kendall Hammons, 21, Loudon, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear-theft under $500 and held on $1,000 bond.
     
  • Eric Mack Hansard, 32, Oak Ridge, was charged with failure to appear-general sessions and held without bond.
     
  • Joseph Derrick Hodge, 48, Philadelphia, was charged with failure to appear-driving on a revoked license and held without bond.
     
  • Allen William Lowe, 24, was charged with domestic assault and held without bond. Loudon Police Officer Marty Ward wrote in his report that he talked with a man, who said that Lowe allegedly had been breaking items in a Hackberry Street residence, including a glass table top and a door in the hallway. He also allegedly punched three holes in the wall and threw a small heater in the living room.
     
  • Gregory James Sage, 31, Oliver Springs, was charged with two counts of Lenoir City court capias-theft and failure to appear and released on $1,000 bond.
     
  • Kristopher Scott Whitehead, 40, Greenback, was charged with driving under the influence-first offense and held without bond.
March 12
  • Bryant Ramirez Aguilera, 19, Loudon, was charged with being a fugitive from justice and held without bond. LCSO Deputy Ben Everett wrote in his report that Aguilera was wanted out of Georgia.
     
  • Michael Chase Barron, 20, Lenoir City, was charged with a Shelby County warrant and held without bond.
     
  • Sandra Gail Gaston, 51, Lenoir City, was charged with driving under the influence and violation of implied consent and held without bond.
     
  • Michael Charles Lunsford, 23, Sweetwater, was charged with a Monroe County warrant and held without bond.
     
  • Steven Anthony Scott, 24, Loudon, was charged with vandalism and false reports/statements and held without bond.
Man makes false reports, later strikes deputy
 
A Loudon man is being held on multiple charges after vandalizing a man’s apartment, making false reports to police and later striking a deputy while at Loudon County Jail.

Lenoir City Police Det. Kevin Condee said Steven Anthony Scott, 24, reported that a man had pushed him into a window during the middle of the night and had attempted to cut him with a knife, causing lacerations to his hand and elbow.

“Scott knocked loudly on (the man’s) door, then kicked the door several times, apparently attempting to get (the man) to come out, or at least open the door,” Condee said of the March 12 incident. “When (the man) did not respond, Scott broke out a glass window, which was to the left of the entry door.”
Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jordan Samuels wrote in a separate report that later that day Scott had become “very belligerent toward officers” at Loudon County Jail.
 
“During the extraction of removing Mr. Scott from the cell, Scott did strike this deputy and attempted to place this deputy in a head lock,” Samuels said. “... Mr. Scott did intentionally and knowingly cause another to reasonably fear imminent bodily injury.”
 
Scott was charged with vandalism, false reports/statements and assault and held on $12,000 bond.

  • Marc Alan Aslinger, 27, Clinton, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license and released on $2,000 bond.
     
  • Sandra Gail Gaston, 51, Lenoir City, was charged with driving under the influence and violation of implied consent and released on $3,000 bond. LCPD Officer Blake Garland wrote in his report that Gaston had been trying to pull onto U.S. Highway 321 and had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and slurred speech. “... She immediately stated she had a 12 pack of Natural Light Beer,” Garland said. “I asked ... if she would submit to a field sobriety test and she refused stating that she was too intoxicated to try.”
     
  • Justin Danny Kelley, 32, Lenoir City, was charged with violation of probation on simple possession and released on $1,000 bond.
     
  • Jason M. Kelly, 31, Lenoir City, was charged with driving under the influence, which was reduced to reckless driving, and released without bond.
     
  • Lisa Jean Roberts, 39, Madisonville, was charged with theft under $500, criminal trespassing and criminal impersonation and held without bond.
March 13
  • Bobbie Marie Bailey, 31, Etowah, was charged with violation of probation and released on $2,000 bond.
     
  • Gregory Wayne Bonilla, 51, Lenoir City, was charged with violation of probation and held without bond.
     
  • Nicolette Mariah Foster, 24, Knoxville, was charged with driving under the influence and released on $3,000 bond. Dispatched to gas station and convenience store in reference to a disturbance and possible intoxicated driver, LCPD Sgt. Jeremy Dishner found Foster and passenger, Jeremiah Lynn Hudgins, 39, also of Knoxville. “Ms. Foster had slurred speech and was lethargic,” Dishner said, adding that she performed poorly on field sobriety tasks. Dishner said Hudgins had been in a verbal altercation with the clerk at the store and also had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The officer said Hudgins admitted to drinking “numerous beers” prior to contact with officers. “Upon his arrival to the Loudon County Jail and subsequent search in the facility, Mr. Hudgins was found to be in possession of a small plastic bag, which contained approximately 4 and 1/2 of a rectangular, white pill believed to be Xanax,” Dishner said. “Mr. Hudgins did introduce a controlled narcotic into the jail facility and possessed the narcotics illegally.” Hudgins was charged with Schedule III drug violations, public intoxication and introduction of contraband in a penal institution and released on $10,000 bond.
     
  • Harley Ray Humphrey, 33, Russellville, was charged with violation of probation-driving under the influence and released on $2,000 bond.
     
  • Megan Dearmond Scott, 30, Ooltewah, was charged with failure to appear-general sessions and held on $4,000 bond.
     
  • Chad Lance Spradling, 38, Alcoa, was charged with contempt of court and released on $150 bond.
March 14
  • Kenneth Ray Braden, 34, Rockwood, was charged with two counts of failure to appear-general sessions and held without bond.
     
  • Gary James Hill, 24, Sweetwater, was charged with violation of community corrections and held without bond.
     
  • Lord Nicolas Jackson, 23, Loudon, was charged with assisting other agency and held without bond.
     
  • Kelsey Amber Norwood, 22, Knoxville, was charged with theft of property and released on $2,000 bond. LCPD Officer Nick Halsey wrote in his report that Norwood took two cartons of cigarettes worth $87.29 from a Lenoir City store.
     
  • Pamela Kathleen Puckett, 53, Lenoir City, was charged with driving under the influence and released on $2,000 bond. Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Rodney Best wrote in his report that on Aug. 12, 2014, Puckett was involved in a wreck with injury on U.S. Highway 11 at Old Midway Road where her vehicle was found resting on its side. Best added that Puckett had constricted pupils and slurred speech.
     
  • Dylan A. Schlicht, 27, Knoxville, was charged with driving under the influence and released on $2,000 bond. LCPD Sgt. Jeremy Dishner wrote in his report that Schlicht admitted to driving a vehicle that went off the roadway and into a drainage ditch. “Mr. Schlicht smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage and was very unsteady on his feet,” Dishner said, adding that Schlicht performed poorly on field sobriety tasks.
March 15
  • Chaison R. Chambers, 20, Maryville, was charged with assisting other agency and released without bond. LCSO Deputy Brandon Burley wrote in his report that Chambers had an active felony warrant for violation of probation for an original Knox County charge for burglary.
     
  • Tony Gene Crawley, 50, Loudon, was charged with driving under the influence and violation of implied consent and released on $3,000 bond. Dispatched to a possible hit and run accident on Carding Machine Road, Loudon Police Officer Brandon Nix wrote in his report that the driver, Crawley, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and slurred speech. “... He stated he had a shot of Bacardi this morning, and had drank last night,” Nix said, adding that Crawley refused to perform field sobriety tasks. “While inventorying Mr. Crawley’s Jeep, I noticed a half-empty beer bottle in the middle console that was accessible to the driver,” Nix said. “I (also) noticed a empty bottle of Bacardi Rum located in the passenger’s seat.”
     
  • Tiffany Powers, 24, Philadelphia, was charged with theft under $500 and held on $1,000 bond. Responding to a call of a shoplifter at a Lenoir City retail store, LCPD Officer Jason Arden wrote in his report that Powers had concealed four packs of steaks worth $71.97 in her purse and passed all points of sale without paying.
     
  • Roy Derrick Sumner, 28, Williamsburg, Ky., was charged with Schedule III drug violations and driving under the influence-second offense and held on $12,000 bond. Dispatched to Interstate 75 in reference to a possible intoxicated driver in a commercial tractor trailer, THP Trooper Rodney Best wrote in his report that the driver, Sumner, was slow to respond to stop the vehicle and had slurred speech. The trooper further said that Sumner admitted to taking suboxone and performed poorly on field sobriety tasks. “Mr. Sumner was also found in possession of a small pill canister containing two round peach pills. Mr. Sumner stated that they were suboxone, which was confirmed,” Best said.
     
  • Suprina Lynn Wayne, 42, Harriman, was charged with two counts of driving on a revoked license and held without bond.
March 16
  • David John Clowers, 49, Caryville, was charged with failure to appear-general sessions and held on $1,000 bond.
     
  • Scott Allen Davis, 47, Kingston, was charged with violation of probation and held without bond.
     
  • William Joseph Lanter, 37, Loudon, was charged with violation of probation and held without bond.
     
  • Alicia Dawn Partin, 23, Loudon, was charged with assisting other agency and violation of community corrections and held without bond.
