LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WATE) — A woman is dead and a male suspect has been charged with murder following a stabbing at a Lenoir City apartment complex on Friday.

Lenoir City Police officers responded to an apartment complex at 791 Pearl Drive around 7:30 p.m. where a woman was found dead. A police spokesperson said the victim, identified as 35-year-old Ciara Long, had been stabbed multiple times and was found dead in a common area of the complex, just outside of the door to the unit where she lived.

Daniel Stinnett, 34, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder. Investigators believe that the two were in a relationship based on Long’s social media posts.
