Man charged
with assaulting Viskase picketers
A replacement employee at
Viskase was arrested last week after reportedly assaulting an
employee who was on strike at the plant in Loudon.
Noticing a man, Christopher Michael Dietrich, 41, Adamsville, wielding an axe handle leave a vehicle and attempt to strike a protester along Blair Bend Road, Loudon Police Sgt. Scotty Newman wrote in the police report that Dietrich was a passenger as part of a convoy leaving the facility.
While vehicles exited the property, protesters were present
expressing their disapproval to replacement employees, Newman
wrote. "Mr. Dietrich and the driver of his vehicle were yelling
back at protesters and smacking the side of their vehicle ...
As the vehicle entered the roadway, Dietrich and the driver,
Steven Glenn Briley, 36, Adamsville, motioned protesters to
follow them, according to the arrest report.
Dietrich then leapt from the vehicle with a wooden axe with the
intent of doing bodily harm to the protesters, Newman wrote,
noting that when he turned on his blue lights and siren, the man
got back into the vehicle.
After Dietrich was taken into custody, police found a glass pipe
on him that appeared to have methamphetamine residue, according
to the arrest report. Police also found a small white rock
inside the man's cigarette pack that tested positive for meth.
Newman wrote that Dietrich was under the influence of meth
during the incident.
Dietrich was charged with aggravated assault,
manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a Schedule II substance and
possession of drug paraphernalia and released on $37,000 bond.
Briley was charged with disorderly conduct and released on
$2,000 bond.
Sept. 30
Teresa Navada Hensley, 19, Lenoir City, was charged with
simple possession/casual exchange and released on $1,000 bond.
Noticing a gold sedan traveling along Broadway Street with only
one headlight and brake light, Lenoir City Police Officer Chris
Morgan stopped the car and found the driver, Hensley, had an
outstanding warrant out of Blount County. While conducting a
search of Hansley, police found a pill bottle containing a leafy
substance believed to be marijuana along with two types of
pills.
Tasha Renee Jenks, 35, Knoxville, was charged with violation
of probation on driving under the influence and simple
possession and held on $2,000 bond.
Jonathon Michael Moore, 25, Philadelphia, was charged with
public intoxication and held without bond.
Richard Darren Queen, 43, Lenoir City, was charged with
violation of probation and held without bond.
Glen Shaugn Spoon, 42, Knoxville, was charged with failure to
appear and held without bond.
Ryan Kevin St. Pierre, 41, Loudon, was charged with violation
of probation and held without bond.
Gregory Read Stewart, 28, Lenoir City, was charged with
failure to appear-general sessions and held without bond.

Brandon Michael Aguirre, 22, Maryville, was charged with
criminal impersonation and held on $2,500 bond.
Lacey Rose Buckner, 26, Athens, was charged with violation of
probation and held without bond.

of probation and held without bond.
Christopher Blane Sisson, 27, Lenoir City, was charged with
driving on a revoked/suspended license and held without bond.

Tameca Renee Battle, 34, Lenoir City, was charged with theft
under $500 and released on $1,000 bond.

a revoked/suspended license and released on $1,000 bond.
Joshua Richard Cable, 31, Maryville, was charged with driving
under the influence, possession of handgun while under the
influence and violation of implied consent and released on
$4,000 bond.
Doyle Daniel Davis, 50, Knoxville, was charged with driving on
a revoked/suspended license and released on $2,000 bond.
Anthony Louis Desola, 23, Lenoir City, was charged with
violation of community corrections, failure to appear-general
sessions, violation of probation and assisting other agency and
held without bond.
Joseph B. Hendrickson, 27, Lenoir City, was charged with
driving on a revoked/suspended license-second offense and
released without bond.
Jason Latrez Martins, 33, Lenoir City, was charged with
reckless endangerment and theft of property and released on
$3,000 bond.
Ricky Glenn Powell, 40, Lenoir City, was charged with
resisting/stop/halt/frisk and public intoxication and released
on $2,000 bond.
Matthew Avery Stoker, 25, Ringgold, Ga., was charged with
reckless driving and released without bond.
Christy Ann Whisenhunt, 34, Loudon, was charged with driving
under the influence, simple possession/casual exchange, theft

Belinda Kay Vincent, 41, Lenoir City, was charged with three
counts of illegal possession/fraudulent use of a credit card and
two counts of violation of community corrections on theft and
held on $3,000 bond.

David Lee Anderson, 29, Philadelphia, was charged with
criminal impersonation, theft under $500 and aggravated assault
and held without bond.
Joey Phillip Anderson, 35, Philadelphia, was charged with
driving on a revoked/suspended license and released on $1,000

Christopher Paul Bingham, 44, Harriman, was charged with
violation of probation on theft, violation of probation on
simple possession and failure to appear on driving on a revoked
license and held on $4,000 bond.

Todd Ellis Elden, 39, Sweetwater, was charged with failure to
appear and violation of probation and held without bond.
Michael Charles Hmielewski, 53, Rockford, was charged with
driving on a revoked license and held without bond.
Abby Marie Lowry, 30, Knoxville, was charged with violation of
probation and held without bond.

Joseph Benjamin Comer, 55, Loudon, was charged with leaving
the scene of an accident/property damage and held without bond.
Samantha Skipper Hartline, 29, Sweetwater, was charged with
violation of probation and held without bond.
Angelia Marie Mayo, 31, Harriman, was charged with failure to
appear-general sessions and held without bond.
Kristan Nicole Roark, 31, Friendsville, was charged with
driving under the influence and driving on a revoked license and
held without bond.
Bryan Trevor Stokes, 26, Lenoir City, was charged with driving
on a revoked license and held without bond.
Madison man
charged with burglary, theft
A Madison man was taken to
Loudon County Jail after officers were dispatched to a home invasion
in the Beals Chapel community.
Responding to a report of a burglary in progress near Beals Chapel Road, officers learned that the suspect, Lawrence Dewayne Schumaker, 34, Madison, had broken through a door and entered a home as the property owner sought shelter in another portion of the residence, according to the arrest report.
As Loudon County Sheriff's Office deputies, K-9 units and
investigators arrived on the scene, Schumaker was unable to use
his vehicle to leave the property.
The suspect fled from the back of the house, firing a weapon as
he exited, according to a press release from the sheriff's
office. Only a few minutes later Schumaker was apprehended
after an alert citizen called 911 to advise them they had been
approached by him asking for a ride.
After Schumaker was taken into custody, deputies found a loaded
Glock pistol on him, and the man admitted firing the weapon.
Schumaker admitted to the most recent burglary, along with
previous burglaries in Loudon County and in Knoxville, according
to deputies.
Schumaker was indicted Oct. 6 on a federal charge of possession
of a firearm by a convicted felon. He faces local charges of
aggravated burglary and theft of property and was held at Loudon
County Jail on $45,000 bond.
Oct. 6
Kayla Camille Crass, 24, Lenoir City, was charged with driving
under the influence and contraband in a penal institution and
released on $6,000 bond.
Joyce Ann Cross, 47, Loudon, was charged with burglary and
theft of property and released on $6,000 bond. According to an
arrest report, Cross entered a home in the 15000 block of
Highway 72 without permission for the purposes of committing
theft. Police reported that Cross took an envelope that was
marked for church donations, but the envelope was empty. She
admitted to police that she had broken into the residence and
taken the envelope.
Oct. 7
Michael Damian Crabtree, 19, Lenoir City, was charged with
tampering/fabricating evidence and released on $15,000 bond.
While conducting a search of a probationer in the 2200 block of
Highland Avenue, police spoke with Crabtree, whose residence had
a strong odor of burnt marijuana, according to the arrest
report. Police found a half pound of marijuana at the residence
and multiple drug paraphernalia items. ... Crabtree took his
cell phone and dropped it in a glass of water attempting to
thwart efforts to continue the investigation by destroying
evidence, according to the report.
Rashondey Quintez Dawson, 19, Lenoir City, was charged with
manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a Schedule VI substance and
released on $7,500 bond.
Dallas Christopher Ford, 32, Decatur, was charged with
violation of probation and released on $2,500 bond.
Tamatha Gail Hayes, 39, Lenoir City, was charged with failure
to appear on a suspended driver's license and held on $2,000
bond.
Jason Lynn Roberts, 28, Loudon, was charged with aggravated
burglary, theft of property and violation of probation and held
on $4,000 bond.
Tabatha Coty Robinson, 25, Morristown, was charged with
violation of probation on simple possession and released on
$2,000 bond.
Leona Mable Turner, 35, Loudon, was charged with
manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a Schedule II substance,
manufacture/sell/delivery/resale of a Schedule IV substance,
possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence
and held on $34,000 bond. Noticing a black Ford Expedition
parked at the entrance of a plant along Sugarlimb Road, Loudon
County Sheriff's Office Deputy Charlie Huskin found a white
female passed out at the steering wheel. During an
investigation, Huskin learned that the vehicle was still running
and in drive with Turner's foot on the brake. I attempted to
wake Ms. Turner but before I could she awoke and started to roll
out into on coming traffic; she slammed on her brakes not
knowing where she was, Huskin wrote in the arrest report.
Turner told police that she had just been in a traffic accident
where her legs and back were injured, according to the report.
Police found Schedule II and Schedule IV substances in her
purse, drug paraphernalia, $360 and a drug ledger.
Robert Andrew Yelverton, 26, Lenoir City, was charged with
driving on a revoked/suspended license and released on $1,000
bond.
Oct. 8
Cherie Danielle Ballard, 29, Knoxville, was charged with
possession of synthetic derivatives or analogues of
methcathinone and held without bond.
Laura Suzzanna Glandon, 27, Loudon, was charged with four
counts of attachment-juvenile court and released on $894 bond.
Christopher Dewayne Johnson, 22, Loudon, was charged with two
counts of failure to appear-criminal court and held without
bond.
Autumn Dawn Ramsey, 21, Greenback, was charged with failure to
appear on violation of probation and held on $4,000 bond.
