News Herald Arrest Report

Man arrested after excessive use of 911

A Loudon man was placed under arrest for what initially started as a call on a suspicious person.

Dispatched to Okmulgee Circle, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Charles Huskin talked with a man who fit the description.

“... And when I approached the subject he stated that it is not (a) crime to walk the neighborhood and carry a stick and I stated, no it isn’t but for him to come to me so I could identify him and he stated (expletive) no and wanted to know why this officer was stalking him and walked off into the woods ignoring my demand,” Huskin wrote in his report.

After finding Ryan Christian Peltz, 40, again, dispatch advised Huskin the man called 911 saying he was being stalked.

“The subject was identified as Mr. Ryan Peltz and this officer did try several times to talk civil to the subject but was unable to get any civil response from the subject. He just kept calling 911 and stating he was being stalked.”

Deputy Dustin Langley and Cpl. Billy Hall arrived on the scene and were able to talk to Peltz, who was later arrested and escorted to Loudon County Jail.

Peltz was charged with misuse of 911 and held on $1,000 bond.
