"Making Education Priority One"

The next meeting of Making Education Priority One will be April 27, 5:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church
Lenoir City.

Sponsored by Leadership Loudon County Alumni, this initiative is bringing the P-16 program to Loudon County.

P-16 is a statewide initiative that promotes a collaborative effort to engage community stakeholders to focus on strengthening the education of all students from Pre-K through college or vocational school.

The goal is to develop strong involvement by parents, the business community and local industries as well as other community members.

After an introductory presentation earlier this year by representatives from Hamblen County, which has already put the program into place, the group has had several planning meetings and is now working with professional facilitator Dr. Margaret O’Donnell to develop a plan for Loudon County.

Committees are being formed to continue the work, and new participants are welcome.
