Loudon woman charged with trying to murder disabled
son
LOUDON
(WATE) - A Loudon woman is charged with the attempted murder of her
son who is both physically and mentally disabled.
Police say they were called to a home at 121 Elm Lane Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m. for a report of an attempted suicide. When they arrived, they found Casey Hogan, 24, with uncontrolled bleeding from his left wrist. Also present was Hogan's mother and caregiver, Martha Brewer, 51. After interviewing Brewer, and examining the scene and Hogan's injuries, Loudon Police Department officers determined it was attempted murder. Brewer is charged with first degree attempted murder and is being held at the Loudon County Jail. |
