Loudon man arrested for Sweetwater stabbing Michael Thomason The Monroe County Advocate A Loudon man who allegedly stabbed another in a bar has been arrested after nearly a month of avoiding law enforcement. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office arrested Corey Wade Price, 30, Markwood Road, Loudon, Wednesday after he had managed to elude them since July 30. Deputy Clint Brookshire said it was on that date around 10:30 p.m. that he went to Bud's Bar near Sweetwater and learned that Price had stabbed Brian Watkins several times during a fight. Brookshire said Watkins had puncture marks on his back and right and left sides, along with a cut on his left side from his chest area to below his rib cage and back up his left side on his back. Brookshire said Watkins was taken to Fort Loudoun Emergency Room in Lenoir City where he received numerous stitches. Price is charged with first-degree attempted murder. He is listed as an escape risk and has been given a bond of $25,000. He is scheduled to be in Monroe County General Sessions Court Tuesday. |
