Loudon hires Midway's Joe Campbell as football coach

Loudon High School has hired Midway's Joe Campbell as its next football coach.

Loudon athletic director Ronnie Roberts confirmed the news in a text message to the News Sentinel on Friday, ending a six-week search to replace Jeff Harig.

Harig was hired by West in February.

Campbell compiled a 22-24 record in four seasons at Midway. He guided the Green Wave to the Class 1A playoffs in his final three seasons, reaching the third round in 2013. Midway advanced to the second round last season, finishing with a 5-7 record.
