LENOIR CITY - Two individuals were arrested Monday after allegedly breaking into a home in northeast Loudon County, authorities said.
Police responded to a "frantic 911 call" about 9:30 p.m. that two men dressed in black had come into a home on Riverchase Drive, according to Loudon County Sheriff Tim Guider. The resident fled the home, and deputies began arriving about five minutes after the call came in.
One juvenile suspect was soon caught and the second suspect, who had traversed a nearby lake, was captured after a police K-9 dog named Diego jumped into the water, swam across and captured him "on the far side of the cove," Guider said.
Both suspects confessed and have been charged with aggravated burglary, Guider said. The juvenile's name wasn't released, but the adult male was identified as George Locklear, whom police say is also a suspect in other burglaries.
