An 18-year-old Loudon County man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck Thursday, authorities said.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Nadezhda Churyuk was driving a 1998 Volvo westbound at 10:30 a.m. on Sugar Limb Road when the vehicle crossed over the eastbound lane, struck an embankment, rolled over and struck a tree. The car came to rest on its side in a ditch on the eastbound side of the road.
A report by Trooper Rodney Redmon indicated that Churyuk was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
