Loudon County Sheriff: 1 juvenile arrested, 1 juvenile seriously injured after shooting

LOUDON, Tenn. (WATE) — The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office released additional details from a reported shooting earlier Thursday off Clear Branch Road; noting that both the victim and suspect are teenage boys.

According to LCSO, “at approximately 4:10 p.m. Thursday, a 911 call came into the Loudon County E-911 Center reporting that a 17-year-old male had been shot numerous times. LCSO deputies and detectives responded and immediately gave aid to the injured male juvenile,” Chief Deputy Jimmy Davis said in a release. “Shortly after our arrival on scene, another male juvenile, 15 years of age, was identified as the shooting suspect and was taken into custody without incident.”

The 17-year-old male victim was treated by Priority EMS Medics and was transferred to UT Lifestar and flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he underwent surgery for multiple gunshot wounds.

The male suspect is currently in custody and this investigation remains ongoing.  At this time, LCSO says the names of the boys involved are being withheld since they are both juveniles.
