Loudon County officials warning residents of DCS
impostors
LOUDON (WATE) - The Loudon County Sheriff's Office is warning
residents about impostors claiming to be with the Department of
Children's Services and trying to gain access to residents' homes.
Deputies say the only descriptions they have of the impostors are that they are a man and a woman. The two knock on the door and tell the parents there have been reports of them not watching after their children. The two don't show any identification to verify them as DCS workers. The sheriff's office and DCS are reminding residents that all DCS employees carry official ID and would never be offended if someone wants to verify their identity. If anyone knocks on your door and identifies themselves as DCS employees but cannot provide ID, call Loudon County Dispatch at (865) 458-9081. |
