Loudon County closes schools Monday; illnesses cited

LOUDON - A rash of illnesses has prompted the closing Monday of all Loudon County schools.

Widespread flu, respiratory and stomach illnesses among the system's 5,400 students prompted the closing.

Greenback School had shut its doors Thursday and today because of the flu.

The Lenoir City schools are not affected.
