Lenoir City man brings narcotics to jail

A Lenoir City man is facing more charges for possession of narcotics in jail after initially being arrested for violating a probation.
Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Inv. Marty Stanley wrote in his report that following a fight between inmates at Loudon County Jail on Feb. 14, Derek Joe Littleton, 35, was found to have introduced contraband into the jail.
 
“A clear plastic bag containing six white round pills with Teva 834 imprinted (2mg Clonazepam Schedule IV), 21 round green pills with Teva 833 imprinted (1mg Clonazepam Schedule IV), 14 round white pills with E 65 imprinted (2mg Clonazepam Schedule IV), one white round pills with V 2532 imprinted (2mg Clonazepam Schedule IV), 3/4 of a square peach pill with M 25 imprinted (40mg Methadone Schedule II), and 1.5 grams of a green plant material believed to be Marijuana (Schedule VI) were found during the search of (one inmate’s) person,” Stanley said, adding that during an interview the inmates said that Littleton had brought the baggie with pills and marijuana inside the jail.
 
“While Littleton was using the restroom, (the inmates) took the pills by force from Littleton,” Stanley said. “Littleton denied any involvement in the introduction of the pills and marijuana.”
 
Littleton was charged with violation of probation and introduction of contraband in a penal institution and held on $13,000 bond.
 
Woman charged for biting
 
LCSO Deputy Lance Anderson wrote in his report that Tamara Lynn McNeal, 27, of Rockford, allegedly bit a woman twice on the forearm.
“The bite marks were severe enough that skin was broken,” Anderson said. “Affiant observed two bite marks that appeared to have been inflicted by a human mouth.”
 
McNeal was charged with domestic assault and released on $2,000 bond.

  • Nicholas Allen Bahr, 22, Loudon, was charged with violation of probation-third offense and held without bond.
     
  • Heather Mary Kathan, 39, Niota, was charged with driving on a suspended license and released on $2,000 bond.
     
  • Cassandra Danielle Lane, 30, Lenoir City, was charged with theft under $500 and introduction of contraband in a penal institution and held $12,000 bond. Lenoir City Police Officer Brandon Gentry wrote in his report that Lane was observed attempting to leave a Lenoir City retail store with merchandise without paying.
     
  • Samuel A. Maner, 49, Lenoir City, was charged with child support and released without bond.
     
  • Randy Lee McCallie, 44, Philadelphia, was charged with violation of probation-second offense and released on $2,000 bond.
     
  • Shawn Paul Spurlock, 39, Knoxville, was charged with theft under $500 and criminal trespassing and held on $4,000 bond.
Feb. 13
  • Bryant Ramirez Aguilera, 19, Loudon, was charged with driving under the influence and released on $2,000 bond. LCSO Deputy Charlie Huskin wrote in his report that Aguilera, a driver, admitted to drinking several beers. “Mr. Aguilera had a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person, also had red watery eyes, and was unable to keep good balance,” Huskin said, adding that Aguilera performed poorly on field sobriety tasks.
     
  • Jesse Howard Baker, 35, Lenoir City, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license and released on $2,000 bond.
     
  • Nikki Lea Coleman, 27, Lenoir City, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license and simple possession/casual exchange and released on $2,000 bond. Stopping a vehicle for failing to dim its high beams, LCSO Deputy Jamie Ketner wrote in his report that the driver, Coleman, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and had a suspended driver’s license. “I asked Ms. Coleman was there anything illegal inside her vehicle and she stated that she had some marijuana inside her purse. There was approximately two grams of marijuana inside her purse,” Ketner said. “Ms. Coleman also had one pack of Swisher Sweets, with one missing. Ms. Coleman stated that she did smoke a ‘blunt.’”
     
  • Benjamin Gunter, 62, Lenoir City, was charged with forgery and released on $2,000 bond.
     
  • Tracy Dawn Hobgood, 39, Bogalusa, La., was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license and released on $5,000 bond.
     
  • Stacie Lynn Holderbaum, 42, Harrison, was charged with driving under the influence and released on $2,500 bond. LCPD Officer Brandon Gentry wrote in his report that a driver, Holderbaum, had an odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot eyes. Holderbaum performed poorly on field sobriety tasks.
     
  • Patrick Lashawn Johnson, 40, Loudon, was charged with theft of property and fraud-use of a credit card and released on $4,000 bond. Loudon Police Officer Garry Kerley wrote in his report that Johnson was observed on video using another man’s credit card to purchase gasoline at a Loudon gas station.
     
  • Mitchell Ty Presley, 43, Athens, was charged with theft under $500 and released on $2,000 bond. LCPD Officer Christian Dragon wrote in his report that Presley was observed switching bar codes at a Lenoir City retail store.
     
  • Martin Aguilera Ramirez, 24, Loudon, was charged with a Knox County warrant and released without bond.
     
  • Jimmy Lee Self, 43, Mooresburg, was charged with driving on a suspended license and released on $1,000 bond.
     
  • Leslie Janene Stinnett, 22, Lenoir City, was charged with criminal simulation and held on $5,000 bond. LCPD Det. Jack Fine wrote in his report that Stinnett allegedly cashed a check for $375 at a bank in Lenoir City without the owner’s permission.
     
  • Brian Keith Wallace, 42, Lenoir City, was charged with violation of probation and released on $3,000 bond.
     
  • Cynthia Ann Fey Walters, 53, Lenoir City, was charged with failure to appear-criminal court and released without bond.
Feb. 14
  • Melissa Marie Ashburn, 32, Centerline, Mich., was charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, simple possession and violation of implied consent-cite in and released on $14,000 bond. Stopping a vehicle for going 94 mph on Interstate 75, LCSO Sgt. Jerramie Bowen wrote in his report that the driver, Ashburn, had slurred speech and was lethargic. “In the middle part of her wallet was a small pink bag with a white powder substance unknown. Also there was a straw with white powder residue inside it,” Bowen said. “Also inside a bottle of medicine (Alprazolam) was a clear capsule with white powder residue inside. Also another bottle of medicine with the same name had a small brown cigarette with what is believed to be Marijuana.”
     
  • Ryan Spencer Gardner, 22, Philadelphia, was charged with public intoxication and released on $1,000 bond. LCSO Deputy Brandon Burley wrote in his report that Gardner was allegedly intoxicated while visiting an inmate at Loudon County Jail. “Gardner admit to smoking multiple bowls of marijuana with Mrs. King prior to coming to the Loudon County Justice Center,” Burley said.
     
  • Juan Manuel Gonzalez, 36, Knoxville, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and released on $2,000 bond.
  • David Aaron Gooch, 33, Lenoir City, was charged with two counts of aggravated burglary and held without bond.
     
  • Jose Alfredo Granados, 23, Lenoir City, was charged with Schedule II drug violations and driving on a revoked license and released on $6,000 bond. LCSO Deputy Chris Hutchens wrote in his report that Granados allegedly had an odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot, watery eyes. “Granados stated he had left a friends house and had drank the day prior, and that he was still feeling hungover,” Hutchens said, adding that Granados had a revoked driver’s license for DUI. “While the vehicle was being inventoried a small corner of a baggie containing a white powdery substance was found in the driver’s side floor board by Deputy (Jamie) Ketner,” Hutchens said. “The substance was field tested once I arrived at the jail and it was found to be approx. a half a gram of cocaine.”
     
  • Jason Christopher Hirn, 35, New Orleans, La., was charged with driving under the influence-first offense and cite-in-violation of implied consent and released on $2,500 bond. Responding to a single-vehicle wreck, where the vehicle had ran off the road and struck a ditch, Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Ryan Smith talked with a man, Hirn, who was the driver of the vehicle and allegedly had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and slurred speech. Hirn refused to complete field sobriety tasks.
     
  • Jessica Nicole King, 22, Madisonville, was charged with driving under the influence and released on $2,500 bond. Stopping a vehicle for going 45 mph in a 30 mph zone on Highway 72, LCSO Deputy Brandon Burley wrote in his report that the driver, King, admitted to smoking three bowls of marijuana.
     
  • John Dewayne Letterman, 39, Sweetwater, was charged with failure to appear-driving on a suspended license and released on $1,000 bond.
     
  • Cletis Eugene McCurry, 47, Lenoir City, was charged with domestic assault, aggravated assault and resisting arrest and held on $17,500 bond. Responding to a domestic violence call at a Hall Street residence, LCSO Deputy JC Schultz talked to a man, McCurry, who allegedly had a strong odor of alcohol. “Mr. McCurry refused to comply with this deputy’s commands to put his hands behind his back, and tried to lunge at this deputy with his left hand that had a copper colored lockblade razor knife inside it,” Schultz said, adding that while on his way to Loudon County Jail, McCurry continued to be verbally abusive and started kicking the ceiling and door of the deputy’s cruiser.  
Feb. 15
  • Adam Christopher Bain, 26, Maryville, was charged with Schedule II drug violations and possession of drug paraphernalia and released on $6,000 bond. Stopping a vehicle for going 48 mph in a 40 mph zone, LCSO Deputy Jamie Ketner talked with the driver, Bain, who allegedly was found to have a straw and a bag of a white powder, believed to be two grams of cocaine, in his pocket. “Deputy (Chris) Hutchens did deploy his K9 Dante and the K9 did alert to the vehicle. There was also several straw inside the vehicle with a white powder residue on them,” Ketner said, adding that Bain also received a citation for speeding, an expired registration and driving without insurance.
     
  • Michael Scott Gardner, 39, Loudon, was charged with driving under the influence and released on $2,500 bond. LCSO Sgt. Jerramie Bowen wrote in his report that Gardner admitted to drinking a few beers and performed poorly on field sobriety tasks.
     
  • Ashley Renee Harbin, 23, Lenoir City, was charged with simple possession/casual exchange, driving on a revoked/suspended license and failure to appear-general sessions and released on $3,000 bond. Stopping a vehicle for going 47 mph in a 35 mph zone, LCSO Deputy Charlie Parker wrote in his report that the driver, Harbin, admitted to smoking marijuana. “A search was then performed on the vehicle, and two used cigarillos containing marijuana were located in the floorboard. An open Swisher Sweets cigarillo package was then found inside Harbin’s purse, which contained a rolled cigarillo with marijuana inside,” Parker said,.
     
  • Tiffany Michelle Kaskay, 30, Lenoir City, was charged with theft under $500 and released on $1,000 bond. LCPD Officer Dennis S. Guider wrote in his report that Kaskay was observed on video taking $340 total from registers at a Lenoir City retail store, where Kaskay was employed.
     
  • Deborah Marie Sexton, 45, Philadelphia, was charged with driving under the influence and released on $2,500 bond. Stopping a vehicle for crossing the center line on multiple occasions, LCSO Deputy Kenny Palmer wrote in his report that Sexton allegedly handed a passenger in the vehicle a pill bottle.  
     
  • Karen Ann Taylor, 48, Loudon, was charged with worthless checks and released on $1,000 bond. Responding to an initial call of a suicide threat, LCSO Deputy Lance Anderson wrote in his report that Taylor was later found to have a warrant for worthless checks.
Feb. 16
  • Sean Mitchell Bronner, 22, Lenoir City, was charged with violation of probation and held without bond.
     
  • Jessica Nicole Hudgins, 35, Clinton, was charged with contempt of court and held on $1,500 bond.
Feb. 17
  • Patty Ann Letner, 47, Decatur, was charged with violation of probation on possession of drug paraphernalia and held on $1,000 bond.

Driving in snow leads to arrests

A Lenoir City pair are  facing charges for possessing drug paraphernalia and for alleged being intoxicated while driving in the snow.
Responding to a wreck without injury on Buttermilk and Bird roads on Feb. 21, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Brandon Burley talked with the driver, Bryan Allen Mullins, 20, of Lenoir City, who said that “he was out driving around having fun in the snow when he crashed,” Burley wrote in his report, adding that Mullins was unsteady on his feet and had pinpoint pupils.
 
“Mullins stated that he had taken suboxone at midnight prior to crashing his motor vehicle, as well as Deputy (Jamie) Ketner located a spoon with a white powdery substance and multiple hypodermic needle(s),” Burley said.
 
More drug paraphernalia, including a spoon with white residue and multiple hypodermic needles, was found on the passenger, Samantha Colleen Delk, 21, of Lenoir City, Burley said.
 
“Delk stated that she had used narcotics earlier in the evening and was holding the narcotics (and) paraphernalia for Bryan Mullins,” Burley said.
Mullins was charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of cite-in-financial responsibility and violation of implied consent and released on $3,500 bond.
 
Delk was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication and released on $2,000 bond.
Feb. 19
  • Anthony Louis Desola, 23, Lenoir City, was charged with two counts of criminal trespassing and theft under $500 and released on $4,000 bond. Dispatched to a Lenoir City store in reference to an individual with an active warrant for theft from the store, Lenoir City Police Officer Jason Felts wrote in his report that the man, later identified as Desola, had also been previously banned from all Walmart property.
     
  • David Allen Dossett, 32, Strawberry Plains, was charged with failure to appear-drug paraphernalia and released on $3,000 bond.
     
  • Kelsey Leigh Nethery, 27, Dahlonega, Ga., was charged with driving under the influence and released on $4,000 bond. Dispatched to a wreck on Interstate 75 in which the driver, Nethery, had been allegedly drinking, Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Paul Dubroc wrote in his report that Nethery had an odor of an alcoholic beverage and performed poorly on field sobriety tasks. “She stated that she had a shot of vodka three hours before she left Georgia,” Dubroc said, adding that during a search of the vehicle he found several empty bottles that had contained alcohol. “She kept going from laughing and cutting up to crying the whole time while in the rear of the (patrol) vehicle,” Dubroc said.
     
  • Damon Pierre Porter, 47, Athens, was charged with theft over $500 and held on $5,000 bond. LCPD Officer Christian Dragon wrote in his report that Porter was seen taking merchandise from a Lenoir City retail store, including soaps, printer ink, dinnerware, lotions and a stroller. The items totaled over $700. “Defendant loaded buggy and pushed it out the doors,” Dragon said.
Feb. 20
  • Virgil Nathan Beck, 34, Lenoir City, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia, assisting other agency and a Monroe County warrant and held on $4,000 bond. Stopping a vehicle for speeding 55 mph in a 35 mph zone, LCSO Deputy Cody Fritts wrote in his report that the driver, Beck, had a suspended license and an outstanding warrant out of Monroe County. “Upon performing a pat down frisk on Mr. Beck, a syringe and spoon were found in his left jacket pocket,” Fritts said.
     
  • Johnathan Blaine Feezell, 19, Loudon, was charged with domestic assault and held on $2,000 bond. Responding to a Ferry Street residence in reference to a domestic fight, Loudon Police Officer Kenny Ridings talked with a woman, who said she and her boyfriend had been fighting. “He had grabbed her around the neck and thrown her on the floor,” Ridings said, adding that the woman had red marks on her neck. “Mr. Feezell stated that they had been arguing but he did not throw her on the floor.”
     
  • Megan Blakely Jones, 30, Lenoir City, was charged with domestic assault and public intoxication and released on $2,000 bond. Responding to Jones Road in reference to a verbal domestic situation, LCSO Sgt. Jerramie Bowen wrote in his report that he talked with a man, who alleged that Jones came to the residence intoxicated and began breaking items in the home while the man was asleep. “When I entered the residence, the coffee table had been turned upside down and the glass was broken along with the TV in the bedroom had been knocked off the stand and was lying in the floor,” Bowen said. The woman fled but was later found at a truck stop with a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Jones told deputies that she had consumed four beers, Bowen said.
     
  • Michael David Lyles, 25, Lenoir City, was charged with theft under $500 and released without bond. LCPD Officer Christian Dragon wrote in his report that Lyles was seen concealing a pair of gloves, valued at $78, inside a woman’s purse. The woman was later identified as Emilie Jane Kyker. Kyker, 30, Lenoir City, was charged with theft under $500 and released without bond.
     
  • Lori Leann McGaha, 37, Lenoir City, was charged with driving under the influence-first offense and released without bond.
     
  • Temikka Dionne Wilson, 39, Knoxville, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license and released without bond. Stopping a vehicle for speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone, LCSO Deputy Kenny Palmer wrote in his report that the driver, Wilson, had a suspended license for failure to satisfy a citation.
Feb. 22
  • David Keith Ghormley, 32, Madisonville, was charged with failure to appear-driving on a revoked license and released without bond.
     
  • Charles Roy McSpadden, 49, Madisonville, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and Schedule IV drug violations and held on $7,500 bond. Stopping a vehicle for speeding 60 mph in a 50 mph zone, LCSO Deputy Brandon Burley wrote in his report that the driver had narcotics and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. “McSpadden provided your affiant consent to search his motor vehicle, which produced two white with blue speckless pills, which were identified as Phenermine 37.5mg a Schedule IV narcotic,” Burley said. “The search also revealed a glass pipe, which McSpadden stated was what he used for smoking methamphetamine.”
     
  • Anibal Jesus Salcedo, 39, Lenoir City, was charged with public intoxication and released on $1,000 bond. Responding to a C Street residence in reference to an alleged unknown disturbance, LCPD Officer Christian Dragon wrote in his report that Salcedo had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. “Subject had been in an altercation with another individual in the same home,” Dragon said. “Due to his intoxication, if left at the residence he is a danger to himself and the others.”
     
  • Jamie Ray Tolle, 29,   Lenoir City, was charged with driving under the influence and violation of implied consent and released on $3,000 bond. Dispatched to a fast food restaurant in reference to a driver allegedly passing out in the drive-thru lane, LCPD Officer Brandon Gentry wrote in his report that the driver, Tolle, allegedly had glassy eyes and delayed actions. Tolle performed poorly on field sobriety tasks. “Ms. Tolle had her 4-month-old son in the back seat of the vehicle,” Gentry said.
     
  • James Mark West, 42, Lenoir City, was charged with violation of probation on driving under the influence and reckless driving and released on $1,000 bond.
Feb. 23
  • Kristy Leigh Jaynes,  35, Loudon, was charged with contempt of court  and held on $280 bond.
     
  • Christie Lyann Mayton, 40, Loudon, was charged with driving on a revoked/suspended license and held on $2,000 bond.
     
  • Alicia Dawn Partin,  23, Philadelphia, was charged with failure to appear-general sessions and held without bond.
