Lenoir City man arrested for bank robberies in Crossville, Chatt.

 
CROSSVILLE (WATE) -- A Lenoir City man has been arrested for robbing a bank in Crossville on Tuesday and one in Chattanooga earlier in July.

Police said Michael Lynch admitted to robbing the Bank of Crossville during questioning at the Lenoir City Police Department.

The bank which is on Highway 127 north was robbed Tuesday afternoon by a man driving a white mid-80s pickup truck.

With the help of surveillance video, investigators identified Lynch as a suspect. They said he looked like the robber and drove the same type of pickup truck.

Lynch was brought in to be questioned by police without incident. He admitted to the Crossville bank robbery, as well as the robbery of a Chattanooga bank on July 8.

Lynch is being held in the Cumberland County Jail without bond.
