charged in the fatal weekend shooting of his son.
Larry Preston Hensley, age 58, of 280 Harmon Lane, is
charged with involuntary manslaughter for the Sunday night slaying
of 36-year-old Steven Preston Hensley.
According to a news release from Loudon County

Larry Hensley admitted to deputies that he shot
his son during a verbal fight, the release states.

off the ground to defend himself, warning his son he was armed," the
release states. "When his son came toward him again, the father
fired a shot which hit him in the leg."
The shot hit a major artery, according to the
release, and Steven Hensley later died at University of Tennessee
