LENOIR CITY (WATE) - Two men are facing theft and burglary
charges after Lenoir City police say they stole an expensive
keyboard from the city's largest church.
Arthur Towle, 53, and Adam Baker, 32, were arrested Wednesday
afternoon and charged with burglary and theft over $1,000.
Church officials said the two got into the First Baptist Church
building sometime Saturday through an unlocked door and stole a
musical keyboard. Church members discovered it missing Sunday
morning.
The keyboard was found Wednesday at a pawn shop in Sweetwater.
Officials believe the pair may be linked to more church
burglaries in Knox and Loudon counties. No charges have been
filed in those cases yet.
