This year's annual Lenoir City Christmas Parade should be one
for the record books. With around 100 entrants and 10-12 floats
already signed up, Parks and Recreation Director Steve Harrelson
said this years event could be the city's biggest.
The parade is set to take place Sunday, Nov. 28 with lineup
starting at 2 p.m. at Yale Security, he said. During that time
and the parade's start a 3 p.m. in the First National Bank
parking lot free hot chocolate, pictures with Santa Clause and a
children's choir will offer free entertainment.
Children's choirs will also be located on numerous corners down
Broadway. The theme for this year's floats is Christmas movies,
Harrelson said.
The top three floats will receive cash prizes of $200, $150 and
$100. Free registration for the parade will be open until 5 p.m.
