LCUB warns customers of potential scam

(WVLT) -- The LCUB is warning customers of a potential scam involving an unknown caller pretending to be an LCUB employee demanding payment on late bills.

According to the LCUB, the scammer's number shows up as 844-687-5282 and is forwarding any return calls to the LCUB to make the demands seem legitimate.

LCUB asks that customers remember that they will not call commercial or residential customers for past due or late accounts. They send out monthly statements marked "past due."
