LCUB Lineman Seriously Injured
| A Lenoir City Utilities board
lineman was seriously injured Thursday afternoon. Reports are that James
Wilson III, somehow came into contact with a high voltage transmission
line while working along Babb Road just inside Roane County. Wilson was
working on lines in a bucket truck when the accident occured. Other
members of the crew lowered Wilson to the ground where emergency
services were administered. Wilson was first transported to UT Hospital
and later flown to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga with severe
electrical burns. Wilson was employed by LCUB just over a year ago as an apprentice lineman. |
