LCUB Hires Lobbyist

The Lenoir City Utilities Board, LCUB, personal committee recently voted to hire a full time lobbyist to represent their interest in Nashville. Former State Representative and Greenback resident, Doug Gunnels, will fill the position.

Gunnels will work with legislators on matters that might effect utilities particularly in the case of LCUB. The forty thousand dollar per year job will require Mr. Gunnels to spend much of his time in Nashville while law makers are in session.

Gunnels served 12 years in the State Legislator and was instrumental in helping facilitate the LCUB and Dixie Lee Utilities merger back in 2000.
