New housing authority chair wants audit

The chairman of the Lenoir City Housing Authority is requesting an audit of the organization following a major transition in board members over the past year.

Chairman Frank Hahn said he wants a review to ensure policies have been followed. He also questions benefits received by LCHA employees.“I’m troubled by some of the practices,” he said.

Housing board approves audit of past operations

LENOIR CITY — Buoyed by new members, the Lenoir City Housing Authority board of directors on Thursday agreed to an internal audit of operations.

Authority board Chairman Frank Hahn, one of the new members, asked for the motion after explaining that the recently appointed board members would feel more comfortable knowing that the authority had been audited. “It’s a common practice in business to have an audit after a change on the board,” he said
