Allegedly, the man was attempting to break in to the home on Steekee Road around 3:00 am Sunday morning when he was confronted by the home owner. The home owner was armed with a 22 rifle and at some point fired at the perpetrator striking him in the face.

Loudon County sheriff's deputies quickly arrived on the scene and were able to track the wounded man down where he was taken into custody.
