Lawsuit Filed
About six months ago, Lenoir City codes enforcement director, Leslie
Johnson, was fired by city officials. They claimed she was guilty of
official
misconduct. Few details have been released by the city pertaining to the
firing.
Last week, Ms. Johnson filed suit against the city, Mayor Tony Aikens, Police Chief Don White and city administrator Dale Hurst. The federal court law suit claims that Ms. Johnson was fired for retaliation for trying to make the city abide by their own building code laws in remodeling the old Suntrust bank building for the new city hall.
