Knox man arrested for indecent exposure

A Knoxville man was arrested Nov. 15 after law enforcement responded to a report of indecent exposure.

Lenoir City Police Officer Jamie Ketner spoke with a woman at a motel on U.S. Highway 321 who said she was in her room when she heard a knock on the door.

The man, Jack Mckenzie Jeffers, 23, told the woman he wanted directions to Walmart, Ketner wrote in a report.

“She noticed that his genitals were exposed,” Ketner wrote in a report. “He asked her if she was alone and she stated that her husband was on his way home. She asked the subject to leave several times and he stated he needed to use the restroom while ‘swinging’ his genitals. (The woman) then shut the door and noticed that he was driving a white Dayton’s Pest Control truck.”

Officers contacted Dayton’s Pest Control and identified Jeffers.

Jeffers returned to the motel and said he watched the woman go into the room and knocked on the door for directions.

“I asked him why he was in the back parking lot of a hotel watching her and he couldn’t provide a reasonable answer,” Ketner wrote in the report. “Mr. Jeffers stated that his zipper was broke on his pants.”

Video footage at the motel captured some of the incident.
Jeffers was charged with indecent exposure and released on $2,500 bond.

Man run over by vehicle

A Lenoir City man faces numerous charges after hitting a man with his vehicle.

According to a report filed by Lenoir City Police Inv. Jonathan Yates, an injured man was found Nov. 9 at his home on West 1st Avenue. He said he and two others returned home and were exiting a vehicle when a man approached offering to sell drugs.

The man said he took offense to the offer and told the man to leave.
“The male entered his parked car and the two had words,” Yates wrote in a report. “The suspect put his car in reverse and knocked the victim down. The suspect then intentionally ran over (the male victim) causing severe injuries.”
