Junction Options
| For at least ten years, the state has been talking
about making improvements to the Dixie Lee Junction intersection. For
those that might not know, that's the intersection of Hwy's 11 & 70 just
before the Knox County line.
The discussion continues today. The Tennessee Department Of Transportation (TDOT) recently released three possible options for improvements to the junction. Unfortunately, for now all they are is just drawings. No funding has been appropriated nor right-of-ways acquired for the project. But at least somebody at the state is still thinking about it. Below is a link to the three possible realignment configurations being studied by the state. One option even includes a roundabout. Maybe someday. |
