Jumper
| Thursday, a Loudon man jumped off the Hwy. 11 Loudon
Bridge in an apparent suicide attempt. The initial call came in as a
vehicle accident on the bridge but when officers and firemen responded,
they found the man threatening to jump. The new rescue boat was deployed
and was in place under the bridge. Ultimately, the man did leap from the bridge to the water. The rescue boat quickly retrieved the jumper. He was taken to the hospital where it is reported he suffered no life threatening injuries. Traffic on the bridge was blocked for some time. |
