Judicial Commissioner Terminated
According to county officials,
Loudon County Judicial Commissioner, Sissy Chapman, was terminated
Wednesday morning. On his first day in office, newly elected General
Sessions Judge, Rex Dale, served Ms. Chapman with the termination
notice. She will be replaced by Dale's executive assistant Kim Nix. Judicial Commissioners are appointed either by judges or the county commission and are vested with the authority to handle many of the daily operations of the judges office including but not be limited to, issuance of search warrants and felony arrest warrants, issuance of mittimus, the appointing of attorneys for indigent defendants, etc. |
