Judge dismisses case against woman who went to jail
over her yard
LENOIR
CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) - After more than six months, a
Lenoir City woman's legal ordeal over her messy yard appears to be
over.
On Monday, a judge dismissed the case against Karen Holloway. This all started back in October when Holloway was sent to jail for six hours because her yard was unkempt. Lenoir City's police chief said Holloway's yard was in bad shape for nearly 12 years and that she was given numerous citations and warnings. On Monday, the district attorney and holloway's attorney agreed that she complied with the court's request to serve six hours in jail, clean up her yard and pay court costs and that justice was served. |
