| As of about 9:05 am Tuesday, Bobby Johnson Jr. became
the new treasurer/recorder for Lenoir City. Flanked by his family,
Johnson was administered his oath of office by Loudon County Court
Clerk, Riley Wampler. The ceremony was followed by a reception. A number
of city officials and employees were on hand for the event. All other newly elected city officials will be sworn in on November 24th. Unlike Johnson, the other elected officials are all returned incumbents and therefore could continue to act in their official capacity till their swearing in ceremony. As a newly elected official Johnson could not take office till he was sworn in. Being anxious to get started in his new position, Johnson had asked to take his oath as soon as possible. Johnson is now on duty and ready to serve. |
