Johnson Fills Council Seat
Lenoir City school board member, Bobby Johnson Sr.,
has been appointed to fill the open seat on the Lenoir City Council left
vacant by the recent death of his father, Blackie Johnson. While the
matter was not on the agenda, council decided to go ahead and fill the
seat. Johnson's appointment to council will only be till the November election. Johnson stated that he plans to seek the council position in November and if elected will resign his seat on the Lenoir City School Board. Johnson's appointment to council now
makes two members on council who also are members of the LC school
board. Councilman, Mike Henline, is also a member of the LC school
board. |
