J. D. Click age 70 of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday evening, May 23, 2007. J. D. was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a member Avery Masonic Lodge #593 F & AM and the Tennessee Trustee Association. J. D. was a graduate of McMinn County High School where he shares the scoring record in basketball. He attended East Tennessee State University and was a 1959 graduate of John A. Gupton School of Mortuary Science. J. D. was a former licensed funeral director and embalmer with Click Funeral Home. He also retired from Loudon County Trustees Office after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by parents, A. L. Fate Click and Mattie Lee Bryant Click; brother, Jimmy Click; sister, Ruth Brown and his mother-in-law, Pauline (Polly) Barger. J. D. is survived by his wife, Ouida Barger Click; daughter, Phyllis Piercy of Mt. Juliet; son, Tony Click and wife, Renee of Columbia; grandchildren: Dustin Piercy, Blaine, Conner and Allie Click; sister, Louise Liles of Lenoir City; brothers, Glenn Click and wife, Polly of Lenoir City, Tom Click and wife, Helen of Maryville; sister-in-law, Margaret Click of Maryville; brother-in-law-Carson Barger and wife, Evelyn of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Click and Rev. Dick DeMerchant officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers: Van Shaver, Larry Simmons, Sean Harper, Jason Brewster, Kevin Bluford, Jimmy Matlock, John Bowden and Mike Lawson.
