How's It Looking?

Almost every day, someone will ask, how are you feeling about the election? I just always say, based on what people say, I feel pretty good, but there's no way to know. I have never predicted the outcome of one of my elections. The outcome is up to the voters.

By a 95% margin, the residents in the fifth district are opposed to the mass over development taking place in Lenoir City, supported and voted for by my opponent, Lenoir City councilman, Eddie Simpson. Simpson has said many times now, he thinks what's going on in Lenoir City is great and he wants to bring the same to Loudon County. I can say one thing about this election, if the backbone voters of the fifth district get out to vote, we win big. And when I say we, I mean Loudon County.

On the other hand, if the voters who oppose the destruction of Loudon County don't get out and vote, the special interests will win and Loudon County, as we know it, will be gone forever. Rest assured, they're working overtime to get their voters out.

I stress again to the voters not only in the 5th district, but also in the 2nd and 6th districts, the only way to stop the special interests, developers and profiteers from steamrolling over Loudon County is to get out and vote. Tell everyone you can how important this election is.
