Harriman man jailed for rape of child

A Harriman man was arrested in Lenoir City on March 1 and charged with the rape of a child.

After getting out of jail on bond, he was arrested two days later for violation of his bond restrictions and threatening the victim. The Lenoir City woman who posted his bail was also arrested for coercion of a witness.

Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Det. Austin Parton attended a forensic interview in November where a victim revealed she had, on two separate occasions, been sexually assaulted by Jacob Olaf Headrick, 29.

The instances dated back to 2017 when the girl was 12. She told interviewers that Headrick first improperly touched her without her consent while masturbating in front of her and that she was raped on a later date.

Parton spotted Headrick getting into a car March 1 and conducted a traffic stop. Headrick was placed in custody and transported to Loudon County Justice Center without incident where he was charged with rape of a child and bond set at $75,000.

Sabrina Denon Anderson, 48, Headrick’s mother, bonded Headrick out March 2 and let him stay at her home in Lenoir City. While doing so, Headrick came in contact with the teen victim, which violated the bond order.

According to the teenager, Headrick and Anderson both spoke to her about his arrest, telling her she was to blame and that he would go to jail. She said they both told her not to testify against Headrick because it would cause his kids to be taken away, with Anderson telling her to claim the incident was a trauma dream that never happened. She also told investigators that Headrick was planning on fleeing to Canada to avoid prison.

Headrick and Anderson were both arrested Thursday. Headrick was charged with violation of bond restriction and coercion of a witness by threat and held without bond. Anderson was charged with coercion of a witness by threat and held without bond.

Friendsville man charged with kidnapping, rape

A Friendsville man was arrested Friday after a teen girl went missing for several hours.

William Tyler Nicholson, 22, picked up the 13-year-old Thursday at her mother’s residence in Lenoir City under the pretense of driving the girl to her grandfather’s home. Several hours later, the grandfather told the mother the child never arrived.

LCSO Lt. Det. Charles Cosner arrested Nicholson the following day and an investigation began.

During an interview, the girl said Nicholson took her to a parking lot in Greenback and suggested they should have a sexual relationship regardless of their respective ages. While sitting in Nicholson’s truck, he touched her, exposed himself and got her to pleasure him with her hand.

Nicholson was charged with aggravated kidnapping, sexual battery and statutory rape and held without bond.
