Black, Pickell make Hall of Fame News Sentinel staff Fulton’s Bob Black and Lenoir City’s Richard Pickell are the two East Tennesseans among a class of 10 to be inducted into the TSSAA Hall of Fame on March 15 in Murfreesboro, the TSSAA announced today. Black has spent his entire career at Fulton High School, as a player, coach and administrator. Pickell had over 500 basketball coaching victories in a career at Oliver Springs and Harriman high schools. He was a member of the 1958 Lenoir City state championship team. Other inductees are Giles County coach Joe Hardin, Gallatin principal Dan Herron, Union City coach Randy Barnes, Memphis University School basketball coach Jerry Peters, Harpeth Hall track and field coach Susan Russ, Hampton coach Jerry White, and basketball officials Joe Casey and Paul Holly. |
