A Greenback teen was killed when the Yamaha
motorcycle he was riding collided with a Toyota Tundra truck on
Highway 95 South in Greenback Monday afternoon.
The cyclist was identified by Tennessee Highway
Patrol as 19-year-old Adam J. Bish of Greenback.
Tennessee Highway Patrol Sgt. Jimmy Whitt, who
investigated the crash, said the driver of a Toyota Tundra
pickup truck, Gerisha G. Shults, 42, also of Greenback, was
stopped on Highway 95 to turn left onto Craigs Chapel Road and
turned into the path of the Yamaha V6A motorcycle driven by Bish.
Bish was unable to avoid the collision and struck the truck. Shults
was not injured in the crash.
Sgt. Whitt said alcohol did not appear to be a
factor in the crash, however, routine blood alcohol tests have
been ordered for both drivers.
