The notice sent out by party officials states, "Anyone who has obtained a petition for an elected office on the republican ballot should come to the Court House where you will declare your candidacy to your fellow republicans."

Candidates are also asked to pay a non-refundable filing fee/donation of $100 for district races and $300 for county wide races.  The fee/donation is not mandatory but candidates who contribute will receive advertising by the Loudon County Republican Party. Also, successful primary republican candidates will receive financial support from the Loudon County Republican Party for the general election.
