Dixie Lee Movie Ad 11/25/1964

One of my hobbies is collecting old news papers. Recently, I was looking through one and came across this old ad.

Many of you may not know or remember that we had drive-in porn movies just across the county line in Knox County. The old drive-in was located where the new ice rink at the junction is now.

I can't lie, as a youngster, I was guilty of riding my bicycle back and forth on Old Stage Road behind the drive-in trying to get a glimpse of the screen, that was till they put up an eight foot fence. Tell the truth, some of you did the same thing.

Anyway, what I found humorous in the ad was, "Bingo Saturday Night".

Dirty movies for seventy-five cents AND bingo. Ah, the good old days.
